brucethumb.jpg"Everyone that relies on the Great Artesian Basin is extremely concerned about the impacts these coal mines are going to have on their water supplies.

Already we've seen impacts of cross contamination from exploration drilling that the mining companies have done".

Bruce and Annette Currie are graziers from Jericho, in Central Queensland.  Their farm and business are at risk from the proposed Alpha coal mine on an adjoining property, and from the cumulative impacts of up to 9 proposed coal mines in the region.

The Curries are hero s of our era. Coal is over as an energy source. QLD needs to wake up to this and make the most of the opportunities in bringing on renewable energy.
