Gemma Cronin

gemma2.jpg“Of the three main big rules for Butchulla people that we must never forget - number one is whatever is good for the land must come first and I guess this is where I feel I have to be involved in saying no to fracking because it's a cultural obligation”.

Gemma is a proud and strong Butchulla Songwoman, who is active in her local corporations and indigenous aged care. Gemma wants the region protected from coal and gas so that the Butchulla culture and community can continue to thrive and survive.

We respect and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of First Nations peoples and their ongoing fight to protect Country.
